Kenn began his singing career at the age of 6 with a solo in an Elementary
School Christmas concert and has not stopped since!

In Junior High and High School, Kenn studied and performed 13th through 17th Century classical music.
Kenn was the only sophomore in the all senior class Madrigalas Performing Group
(Maryland State Champions for 2 consecutive years).

Kenn was initiated in to Rock and Roll with Medusa. Together with Dave Simmons and Jeff Avery,
Kenn formed Starz which eventually evolved into D.C. Star which played full time in the
Washington D.C./Baltimore area and then expanded to the New York (including Long Island),
New Jersey and Connecticut circuits with opening performances for Blue Oyster Cult, Journey,
Twisted Sister, Zebra, Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet.
In 1982, D.C. Star released a five song picture disc, which sold 15,000 copies under its
own label. D.C. Star signed with Atlantic Mirage Records and
released two more albums before Kenn left the band in 1985.

Upon leaving D.C. Star, In addition to becoming a vocal instructor, Kenn continued his vocal
studies at the Katie Agresta Vocal Studios in New York City.

With over 20 years of studio and live performance experience, Kenn is renown as one of the
premier vocalists haling out of Southern Maryland. Some of his students include:
Jon Bon Jovi, Roger Daltry and Joe Jackson. Kenn looks forward to sharing his musical knowledge
and experience with all of his students.
